Lent Fundraising Efforts 2021

Sarah, one of our trustees, is raising funds for our new classroom block during Lent. She is aiming to complete 800,000 steps - the equivalent of approximately 400 miles!! Sarah is completely awesome.

UPDATE - 6th April

Over 6 weeks, Sarah has completely smashed her target by completing 848,072 Steps for Ekica which is the equivalent of 420.86 miles! She has raised a magnificent £655 which will be used for the new classroom building. Sarah now deserves a well-earned rest and a foot spa! We are deeply indebted to her for all her efforts ~ thank you, so much Sarah.

Lauren-Rose, an 8 year old sweetheart is making bracelets and necklaces with loombands and selling them to her friends to raise money for the children at Ekica School. Well done, Lauren, you're a superstar!

We are asking our supporters to 'Lent Us A Hand' and donate the money they have saved during lent on the things they have given up. Perhaps you would like to join them? There is a paypal button on our donate page.

Huge thanks to everyone for all their efforts and support for Ekica.

  • Diane Marshall-Payne has volunteered as a nurse in Arusha and is a large supporter of the school and Ekica Fundraising. She sponsors 2 children and has encouraged 5 other people to do the same. Diane has kindly used her talents to make beautiful handmade re-usable fold up bags to sell. Great to put in your handbag/manbag/car, for when you need a bag for a few groceries, new clothing, etc, to avoid plastic bags! Help fund education for children in Tanzania, while also saving the environment!
