60s night v1.pdf

A great evening of 'golden oldies' was enjoyed by supporters of Alcester Mayor's Charities. Ekica Fundraising will benefit from 50% of the funds raised at this event. Thanks go to everyone who organised the event and, of course, to the fabulous band, The Racketts for providing a great repertoire.

24 hour table tennis marathon

These super-heroes stayed upright all day and all night playing table tennis to raise much needed funds for the new building at Ekica School. They did a phenomenal job and raised over £2,000. We are very proud of them!

School and Church Fundraisers

We are very lucky to be supported by very generous and caring communities. Many of these include local schools and churches. Some have listened to presentations by Ekica Trustees and have been moved enough to make a donation, some have held events to raise money and some have provided us with the facilities to hold fundraisers.

Just to name a few...

  • We have previously partnered the Arts Ambassadors at St Benedict's Catholic High School in Alcester, attending and selling handmade beaded bracelets and goods made by the community of women surrounding Ekica at their Festive Fringe event, and 5% of all funds raised by the Arts Ambassador team being donated to the charity.

  • Freshfields Nursery School in Stratford Upon Avon raised £100 for Ekica by dressing as superheros and this money went towards a Christmas Party for the children at Ekica.

  • Coffee and Cake donations have been given to Ekica by Church communities

  • We have held many fundraising events in church venues, including music nights, 'A Christmas Carol' reading and a Twelfth Night Supper.

Music Nights

The Alcester based Christian Group 'Revival' have been big supporters of Ekica Fundraising, holding many concerts where donations and ticket sales have been given to aid our work.

  • Most recently a Prayer and Praise evening was held at St Edmund's Parish Church in Shipston-On-Stour. The evening raised £280.

'A Christmas Carol' Reading

Very talented actor Peter Le Breuilly presented a reading of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. It was a great way to start off the Christmas season and it was well attended and enjoyed. Raffle tickets were also sold and all funds from this and ticket sales raised £500 which went towards a much needed roof for the new classroom block.

Alcester Mayor Fundraising Events

During the 2019/2020 period Ekica Fundraising Trustee, Gill Forman, has chosen Ekica Fundraising to be one her chosen charities to support whilst she is serving as Alcester Town Mayor. As a result, fundraising events will take place throughout the year. At the Summer Quiz Ekica Fundraising entered a team and after a great evening had by all we came 4th out of 17 entered teams.
